NARS Luster Blusher

Ola! I'm finally getting round to doing a few review posts lately like I said I would! I thought i'd do a post on the new blush I bought from NARS on Tuesday, I've been using their bronzer as a blusher since January this year (looong), so thought it was about time I experimented with more of there cheek products seeing as I love the Laguna so much :)
At first I really wasn't sure about this product, the lady at the counter showed me a few colours which were simular to Laguna, but all I could think about was how good their bronzer already looked against my hair etc.. however I was wrong! when I first tried this blusher this morning I thought straight away 'nope. don't like it', but then went into work, and what with work being work (slightly boring at times, mean while being surrounded by about 4 mirrors on each floor), I realised it makes my face look brighter, more flawless and just all round more healthy. I began to think its more of a summer blush, which is true, I do want to try some of their darker blushes, however I think this is lovely for a simple day look.
The consistency is just like Laguna, matt, powdery, but not too drying. The pigment is absolutely perfect, it does have a slight shimmer to it, in store it looked like proper glitter! (a no no in my eyes), but when I got it home I realised it was more of a highlighting/subtle glow rather than chunks of glitter (, so ya! all round a beauty of a product :)

{PS sorry for the UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL photo of my face, unedited so you can see a true resemblance of colour against my skin tone etc }

Hi Guiiiz.
sorry I look so retarded in these photos, I took them literally straight after I'd got home from a train journey back home from Cardiff, I'm soso happy to be settled at home for the rest of the week now, I've actually had a decent week at uni despite the fact I missed practically a whole lecture on Tuesday morning because we thought we were supposed to be in at 11.30 rather than 9.30, so er, yeah that didn't work out too great! However we've been given a tasty little work load (quite a lot actually), which will keep me busy for a while, its weird now that my week/life has a structure I'm finding it easier to fit in my blogging seeing as I make time for it rather than do it when I feel like it.. dunno if that makes sense?
I have work tomorrow 10-4 which I cannot be bothered with, then work 11.30-8.30 Friday, bring on Saturday where I can lie in aaaallll day long (well at least until 12pm.. AT LEAST!), not really sure whats going on this weekend, I think Melissa and I are going to have a girly time seeing as she's having a stressful time at work and well, my life is just pretty hectic in general, would be nice to just eat crap and watch movies rather than go out and get rat-assed as usual.. (oops)
Hope you guys have had a productive week anyway :)
PS I aboslutely love this necklace from Topshop, its like a mood ring style, as in it changes colour with mood (temperature ;)), I looove iiit, the chain is a rose gold sort of colour and the colours in the cross are beauties! The only thing I don't like about it is the shortness of the chain! boooo.

NARS Products I want to try

Today I bought a new NARS Blusher (sneaky), just because my Laguna bronzer has literally hit pan completely so I technically NEED something new, I decided to try a blusher, I'm excited to try it but still a bit apprehensive, hopefully I'll actually get round to doing a review :) Anyway I also booked a 'makeup lesson', I'm literally making the most use I can out of the fact there is an actual counter in Cardiff rather than having to purchase online. It involves spending £25 which you can further redeem to try out products you're curious about! Sounds good to me!

'A moisture-rich cream blush formula that provides smooth, silky color for naturally luminous skin. The velvety texture delivers long-lasting color and blends easily natural-looking color. * Provides a sheer, flush of color for all skin tones * Enriched with Vitamin E * Can be worn alone or paired with powder blushes'
I'm really interested in trying a cream blush, I never really have, and seeing as this one is 'enriched with Vitamin E' it seems all the more promising! Especially with the drying season of winter approaching it all sounds good to me, also the colour is absolutely gorgeous, Its from NARS' 'Vintage' range online.

'Cult classic hues and a mix of modern textures and formulas. There are no boundaries, only the most sumptuous color imaginable. Features Roman Holiday Lipstick, Bangkok Pure Matte Lipstick, Dolce Vita Velvet Matte Lip Pencil, and Orgasm Lip Gloss. A £47 value.'
I definitely want to get my hands on this, FOUR lip products for under £50! If you do the maths this actually works out at a really good deal. I really do want to try NARS' lip gloss and find out more about their lipstick. I have a Matte Lip Pencil already and its not my favourite, I find it a bit drying and doesn't blend/suit me too well, However maybe I'll like it more in a different colour?

'Bronzing Powder creates the ultimate healthy glow. Diffused powders with golden shimmer create an all-over warmth or contour for the face perfect for creating or enhancing the look of tanned skin. Finely milled powders fills in lines and pores for smoother, more even looking complexion. * Iconic shades ideal for all skin tones * Natural looking, imperceptible finish * Subtle shimmer adds glow'
Like I said above, I have just hit pan completely on my Laguna bronzer, I was so so tempted to buy it along with my new blusher today, however my bank balance is already suffering (I crey). It has a really lovely shimmery tone to it, along with being perfectly blend-able and if something as prominent as a bronzer can suit a pale pale ginger person, I'm pretty sure its good to go for all skin types!

'Full-bodied texture and stay-in-place wear in NARS signature shades. Lips look luscious in shades for day or night in hues that are perfect alone or for pairing with other products.
* Unique texture prevents color from bleeding * Includes Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Avocado Oil, Sesame Seed Oil and Jojoba Seed Oil'
wahhh I've been looking at this product for ages, seeing the lovely jubly ingredients this one includes makes me happy, again what with the winter coming up I don't think theres anything skin likes more than Vitamin E and all the luxurious oils this one provides! Along with that, look at this fab colour, I absolutely love light coloured lips, but I just don't think they suit me as much as a bright/dark lip.. so I'm happy to say that NARS has this vibrant pink, mmm I just want to eat it!

'Outrageously lustrous color meets high-impact shine. Dramatic, stay-in-place shades glide on smoothly and evenly for lips that are more luminous and voluminous than ever before.'
AGAIN, LOOK AT IT.. to be honest, the way NARS themselves describes this just sounds fabulous, I need it in my life, for ages now I've wanted a lip product that makes my lips stand out and just look full and llllushious, I think this is the product to do that :)

'Custom-designed to provide women with the proper tool for a faster, more professional makeup application. This brush is designed with only the finest quality of hairs and a delicately weighted handle to provide the necessary balance for professional and precise makeup application.'
defffffffo in need of a lip brush, I want more lip products for a start, and I'm actually pretty terrible at lipstick application, so I think a brush would be a lot better, I really like the way its retractable too! Obviously its a bit on the expensive side.. however it DOES have 'the finest quality of hairs'... ahhh...

If any of you have tried any of these products and want to give me a little insight, feel free! I will hopefully have a review/swatches of my new blusher soon, I hope I like it/it suits me! Also I will update you about my makeup lesson and purchases :)

I thought I'd include a slightly more fashion-y post on my blog today, just random really, like I said I'm just putting a random selection of posts lately to see what I like doing and what fits with my blog.
I was just browsing when I came across this RTW collection by Dion Lee.. I absolutely love designs like this, I just think they're perfect, monochrome is definitely my favourite type of design, (I say this from a high end point of view, I never really wear monochrome myself, although blacks, greys and navy's are my favourite colours). I really love the way Lee has subtly incorporated metallics into his collection seeing as they're all the rage this season, I also really like the cuts/patterns/silhouettes of each design, most/all of the designs for his A/W collection are mainly dresses/skirts, I like the way all of them are simular but also slightly different in shape/texture.
The styling for this collection compliments the dresses perfectly, the simple yet detailed weaved 'cap' hair style doesn't draw too much attention away from the bodice. From what I can tell the makeup looks pale with brown eyeliner, again a favourite look of mine, a very plain and simple look, I am all for a bright lip, but I think from a professional styling point of view, simple eye makeup seems all the rage at the moment. I am by no means a fashion/styling expert (yet), and obviously this is my first real critical post on a designer, I'm just expressing my views and saying go check him out!

'It's tempting to describe the appeal of Lee's clothes in terms of their technical accomplishments: the geometry of the silhouettes; the innovative, architectural quality of the construction; the unexpected materials artfully deployed. You can't avoid talking about those elements of Lee's work, and they form a tremendous part of its appeal. In this collection, for instance, he created strands of high-visibility fiber, and wove them into light-reflecting knits, and draped them off sheaths. (Perfect for cycling back from a party at night, maybe.)'
